Call for Submissions!!!

Bushwick Film Festival: Take 4
Call for Submissions: July 31 Deadline

The Bushwick Film Festival announces its call for submission to the 4th annual Bushwick Film Festival. This year the festival runs September 10 – 12 in Bushwick.

If you are a filmmaker established or just starting the amazing journey best you get it together and submit your film to this group of Radicals. Radicals not meaning extreme political ideas but radical as in groovy folks that you need to collaborate with.. Years after the Bushwick Breweries and the speakeasies were shut down and right around the time the gangs of Bushwick were roaming the streets shanking artist in Morgantown, the Bushwick Film Festival came to be. These ladies, Directors Kweighbaye Kotee & Laree Ross (with help from loyal friends, naturally) have been around the block making noise, and projecting ideas for quite some time. In that time they’ve picked up 64 filmmakers, 15 sponsors, curated yearly music and art shows, with sick bands and very talented artists, collaborated with a ton of creative types and organizations, and sold an average of over 1000 festival tickets! So yeah, you should submit and contribute to the ongoing efforts to encourage people to make their ideas real even when it means sticking it out and DOING IT YOURSELF!

This year, Bushwick Film Festival is partnering with GCMP.tv to distribute and market its filmmakers’ films online and abroad! Yay!

The Bushwick Film Festival is organized by a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, joining the efforts to artistically develop the Bushwick community by bringing independent films and filmmakers to Bushwick. Submissions are being accepted through July 31st.
